Muzz Buzz and Java Juice sign strategic International Co-branding Agreement

Muzz Buzz and Java Juice have entered into a strategic international co-branding partnership to carry the Muzz Buzz and Java Juice brands, in what is believed to be the biggest co-branding deal announced in the Australian fast food industry for many years.

“Simply put; you’re either growing or you’re going out of business. Our businesses have always focused on growth and the expansion of our brands”, said Muzz Buzz Executive Director Steve Pynt.

Java Juice CEO Marco Sterpone said, “Muzz Buzz and Java Juice are proudly Western Australian brands that currently employ over a thousand people around Australia and have provided employment and training opportunities for many thousand more people over the years. We deliberately source as much of our products and services from local suppliers and we collectively contribute substantial revenue to the economy. We expect these employment and financial contributions to increase significantly under our new international co-branding strategy.”

The international co-branding strategy, developed by Mr Pynt and Executive Chairman Warren Reynolds, will see all fifty-three Muzz Buzz drive thru coffee stores across Australia and the 7 Muzz Buzz stores in Japan, New Zealand and Russia, as well as all future stores currently in development, rebranded as Muzz Buzz Java Juice stores. As part of the re-branding, the new branded stores will stock the 10 best-selling Java Juice smoothie and juice products. The new Muzz Buzz Java Juice stores will become the first drive thru juice stores in Australia.

Java Juice has also agreed to enter a 50/50 joint venture with Muzz Buzz to develop and implement a national franchising strategy to grow the number of Muzz Buzz Java Juice stores in key national and international growth markets.

Mr. Reynolds added, “This deal is a win-win. Marco, Steve and I believe in co-branding and we expect to see our brands grow at a time when many of our competitors are blaming the economy and going out of business. Our brands are dynamic, innovative and creative. The key to our success and the reason we are confident of continued growth is the emotional brand engagement of our customers, as much as quality products and outstanding customer service. The addition of delicious and invigorating Java Juice smoothies and juices to our menu will give our customers some new healthy choices.”
